Channing Tatum And Diego Luna Discover They Have A Few Things In Common

As recent guests on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show,” Diego Luna, Channing Tatum and Adam Scott discovered the three of them have something in common: they’ve all “starred” in a music video. Back in the early 2000s, Tatum appeared in Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs” music video. However, Tatum recalled he was hardly noticeable since he was one of three men surrounded by a large crowd of about 200 women. After looking at a picture of Tatum in Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs,” Corden then pulled out a picture of Luna in Katy Perry’s video for “The One That Got Away.” With over 600 million views, Luna poked fun at how this Katy Perry music video probably has more views than all of his films combined. “When I die they’re going to say, ‘Oh the guy from the Katy Perry video just died,’” joked Luna. Lastly, Corden reminded Scott of his appearance in a throwback Tia Carrere music video. Scott admitted he thought he was being cast for a major role, but it turned out he was only being cast as an extra in the music video.

Corden reminded Luna of his dance moves as Javier Suarez in 2004’s “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.” After being cast as one of the lead dancers for the movie, Luna noted how traumatized the dance film left him. “I hear salsa and I start shaking,” joked Luna. Tatum also knows what it’s like to be in a dance film — after his role in the movie “Step Up,” he says he couldn’t step into a nightclub without people wanting to battle him.

On a more serious note, the segment closed with Luna speaking about the aftermath of the Mexico City earthquake. In response, Tatum showed his support.

n an effort to help everyone who has been affected by the earthquake in Mexico City, Luna shared a crowdfunding campaign that he put together with his good friend Gael Garcia Bernal. To further raise awareness, Tatum posted a video about the campaign to his own social media accounts, encouraging his fans to donate anything they possibly can.
